TestOut Forges New Partnerships, Launches Annual Certification Conference

Utah-based certification and training provider makes headway in international markets with new partnerships. Annual conference to be held near Arches National Park.

Information technology pokes into every corner of the globe in 2015. We still haven't unlocked the secrets of personal robot assistants and flying cars, but a lot of other things that used to seem like a far-off dream are now simply part of everyday life. And as the reach and breadth of technology expands, the need for trained and capable IT workers in nearly every professional realm grows with it.

TestOut Contract SigningsJust as IT is a global presence, IT certification is a worldwide endeavor. In recognition of the need to quickly and adequately train the next generation of IT pros, certification and training provider TestOut Corporation is taking its products and message to countries outside the United States. On Monday, representatives from enterprises in India and Colombia were at the TestOut campus on Main Street in Pleasant Grove, Utah, to sign contracts expanding TestOut's presence in both countries.

CEO Nandu Pradhan of Onama India and Vice President Dairo Rodriguez of Colombian firm eTraining formally signed contracts with the TestOut executive team in the conference room at TestOut's Building One. TestOut CEO Noel Vallejo said that partnerships with both companies offer a prime opportunity for TestOut to expand its mission of helping IT learners around the world. "Our hope is to touch and improve students' lives," Vallejo said.

Pradhan, who has worked in IT for nearly two decades, including stints at U.S. tech companies Novell and Red Hat (both of which have prominent certification programs), said that IT education is a key focus of his new firm. Rodriguez said that TestOut's products align very well with the educational focus of eTraning, and that certificaiton is booming in Central and South America. "Governments like those in Colombia and Panama are investing a lot in certifications," Rodriguez said.

TestOut, which recently debuted the newest version of its popular LabSim online training tool, is making a major push into international markets. The company will host another key partner, CEO Celio Antunes of Brazilian firm Impacta, at its annual certification conference later this week. The conference, held this year in Moab, Utah — site of the internationally famous Arches National Park — is attended by IT educators and focuses on improving and expanding the presence of certification in education.

Dead Horse PointThe conference also invites attendees to enjoy the scenic splendor that is Utah's calling card to the world. Delicate Arch, in nearby Arches National Park, is one of the most photographed natural formations in the world, while Dead Horse Point offers a stunning view of a striking horseshoe bend in the Colorado River. Also of interest, the miles of sandstone "slickrock" around Moab are host to numerous adventure trails for riders of both motorized and non-motorized vehicles.
